Programs and Outreach - The Arts
Advancin' The Artz!
Objective:
Advancin’ The Artz is an evolutionary series of projects, activities and positive
opportunities for the chapter to meet a societal need to identify, nurture, and showcase
minority youth who have expressed an interest in the arts while demonstrating to other
youth what they can achieve.
- Provides an on-going program within the arts that invites respect, excitement and
positive energy for members of the chapter, which results in successful arts
programs.
- Promotes a project of musical performance for youth in our geographical area.
- Encourages African American students by presenting their talent to the greater San
Jose community.
- Collaboration with community organizations, music teachers and students
themselves to present a program of excellence in the performing arts.
- Continue “to raise the bar” for each of our arts facets programs while at the same
time assessing each of the projects to insure that they are creative and demonstrate
growth for the greater San Jose Community.

A Celebration with the Arts- Spring Youth Recital
With a long history of the importance of the arts, we continue to link our present with the
past and the importance of gifted young people. The local chapter is committed to our
National Signature program which is entitled "Classics Through The Ages, Mentoring
Student Artists Through Arts Education."
Join our student artists at the reception by wishing them well and perhaps, assisting us on
our journey of arts and the classics. Patrons are welcome.
